Management software for retail and hospitality
Retail and hospitality businesses need a POS that is actually connected to inventory, not two systems you have to reconcile by hand.
What this sector needs
A retail or hospitality business mostly needs the point of sale and inventory to be the same system, not two you have to reconcile by hand at the end of the day. When that fails, you get stock mismatches, wasted time, and mistakes in payments and refunds.
Real precedent
I built Fat & Happy POS, a point-of-sale system for restaurants with its own client-server architecture: product management with normalized coding, employees and permissions with audit trails, cash registers (sessions, payments, refunds), orders (menus, discounts, takeaway or dine-in), and per-location stock with automatic updates via database triggers. The design centralizes multiple locations in the same database so results can be compared across them.
How I approach it
This is the sector where I have the most direct, verifiable precedent, with public code. If your business needs something similar — or something simpler, or more specific — tell me about your project and we’ll evaluate together what fits.
Frequently asked questions
Have you built a point-of-sale system before?
Yes — Fat & Happy POS is a point-of-sale system for restaurants that I built end to end, with product, employee, cash register, order and stock management. Its a real, personal project with public code.
